Ward Service is friendly and really good at what they do. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I think everybody wishes that car repair wasn't so expensive, but it is and a lot of the time people hope they are receiving the good service they deserve. Jim Ward is the fourth generation owner of Ward Service Auto Repair.  The auto shop has been in business in the San Gabriel Valley since the 1920's.  They were my mechanics for several years and I always have been very happy with their work. I whole-heartedly recommend their services to everyone! -Charles C.

Ward Service Auto Repair was recommended to me by my next-door neighbor a couple of years ago, so we tried them out. My wife had a 2001 Honda CRV at the time and it was starting to show its age. Ward’s would do the usual services and point out potential problem areas, like brake pads and such.  They never pushed a repair; just let us know the likelihood of the problem becoming worse and the seriousness of it. My car is a Toyota MR2, which even most dealers don't seem to know too much about, but after a couple of small trials, like fluid changes and check light diagnoses. If the guys at Ward’s weren’t sure about something, they said so.

The attitude and service atmosphere is top notch. I've always found them friendly, willing to drive us home if we had to leave the car with their shuttle service, and come get us if we couldn't get a ride back to pick it up. 

I have, and will continue to, recommend Ward’s to others. Nobody has ever had a problem with them, which is more than I can say for most other places I've gone to over the years. I give Ward Service Auto Repair - five stars! -Pete H.

Another great service from Ward Service this week!  Jim & Larry picked me up and dropped my car off in Pasadena because I couldn't get a ride to work from Monrovia.  I've taken three cars to Wards over the last 15 years; a Pontiac, a Honda, & most recently, a Lexus.  They've saved me money by telling me something might be under warranty instead of just fixing it and charging me. Ward's has always given me good advice and gotten things taken are of right the first time.  I also appreciate that they wait for me after closing time when I'm running late, and know me by name when I call or go in.

Gary and the guys at Ward's could not have been more nice or helpful. When my car overheated, we were taken care of from the beginning. We waited in a nice, air-conditioned waiting room. Ward's took excellent care of my wife's Nissan for the full 25 years of its lifetime (including 12+ with previous owner of the car). Often the technicians would give suggestions like "this part is getting old, but it does not need to be replaced yet." They never suggested any unreasonable repairs. Eventually, there was a lot of work that needed to be done, and suggested it might be time to retire the car.

Another story: When I brought my old Dodge in with a leaking power steering, they said how much it would cost at their shop, and recommended that I go to a place that would put in a used part, instead. The crew at Ward Service ultimately has the customer's best interest at heart, not the businesses, which is why we keep coming back! -Daniel W.
