I have been going to Ward Service since 2006 when we moved to Monrovia from West L.A. I had a great mechanic in West L.A. and was very nervous about finding another honest one. At the time, my wife's vehicle was very old and we wanted to keep it running without sinking a lot of money into it. We asked a friend who has lived in Monrovia his entire life where he takes his cars for service repair. He highly recommended Ward Service Auto Repair and that he has been a happy customer with them forever. We went to Ward and Jim was completely straight with us, he didn't try to convince us we needed to spend hundreds of dollars on our vehicle. About $100 later our car kept going for more than a year later.
That was just our first experience with Ward; we have gone back every time. Now my car is the old one and true to their form, they always treat me straight. How do I know even though I don't understand a lot about cars? When I talk an old friend who does his own work about the symptoms and he will tell me the possible problems: usually a cheap fix and an expensive one. I then go to Ward and they, sometimes even mentioning my fear of the expensive fix, and they call back saying it only needs the cheap fix.
I could not be more confident in Ward's integrity or more satisfied with their service. I always refer my friends to Ward Service Auto Repair. -B.J. D.
